Is the $1,700 SNOO Bassinet Really Worth it?
I saw the SNOO bassinet advertised back in 2019 before I was even pregnant with my first child. I thought is the SNOO bassinet really worth it?
I thought, wow, people are really paying for a $1,700 bed that a baby will sleep in for one a few months?
If you aren’t familiar with the SNOO, It is a noise censored bassinet. When your baby cries, it will rock your baby in the bassinet to help them fall back asleep.
When I did get pregnant with our first son in 2020. I started to do more research on the SNOO.
I really did want to be a sleep deprived mom so if the SNOO was going to help me get a little extra sleep, why not try it?

Design and Set up of the SNOO
The SNOO was delivered in beautiful packaging. Upon unpacking it is sleek and if you want something that is a beautiful bassinet in your home this is it.
The only negative thing that I found after arriving, is that the Snoo is really heavy. Like, if you’re 9 months pregnant, you need your spouse to carry it to its final place.
It was very easy to set up. Once set up, the instructions on how to connect the Snoo to the app on your phone was very simple.
I loved that I could easily control the levels of speed from my phone.

Actually using the SNOO
Our son arrived in February of 2021. We used it the first night we were home from the hospital.
Camden slept so well! After Camden had gained his birth weight back, I was all for letting him sleep until he told us he was hungry.
We were getting five hour stretches of sleep after two weeks. It was incredible!
As Cam grew, he was becoming more alert at night. But with a simple cry the SNOO would rock him back to sleep.
We transitioned Cam to his crib around four months. We started with naps in his crib and nighttime sleep in the SNOO.
We also used the limited motion to prepare him for no motion when sleeping.
The transition was smooth. We keep the SNOO for our next baby.

SNOO – Two Years Later
Our second son was born in February of 2023. Almost exactly two years later.
We has also moved when I was pregnant with Brooks so the SNOO moved with us.
I had to re-set up the SNOO for our new wireless connection in our new home but outside of that everything worked perfectly!
Brooks woke up more frequently than Camden did in the newborn days but I believe that is because he just needed more food.
Final Thoughts on the SNOO
I think the SNOO was one of the best items I purchased when I had my babies. Like I mentioned at the beginning, sleep was so important to me. Both of my boys slept so well in the SNOO and I would purchase it again all over again.
I did take really good care of my SNOO too. I used the dust protector and do not have any spit up stains. I am hoping to re-sell it in the future!
Ultimately, I think the SNOO bassinet is absolutely worth it!
