How to choose the best ceiling fan for a bedroom
After looking at fans for our master bedroom, here are my tips on what to look for in a fan for the bedroom. Does your fan come with a remote? Is having a fan important for a ceiling fan in a bedroom?
What is your current electrical set up where you will install the fan? If you are currently replacing a light fixture to a fan, you will need to make sure that you have the proper electrical connections. If you don’t, you may need to call an electrician to get this added. Another reason to see if you are able to use a remote in place of this.
I would also want to know how many speeds the fans comes with. My bedroom gets quite hot in the summer and sits above our garage so we get a lot of hot air. I want to make sure that we will be able to get a high level of speed here.
Does the fan go with the aesthetics of my room? This is obvious but a reminder that to select the fan that makes sense with your design in that space. If you want a transitional fan, a black or dark wood fan might work best. If you like coastal or neutral design, an all-white or white/gold accent fan might make a better fit for you style.
