Choosing the Right Fall Wreath

If you want to pick the right wreath out, these are a few things that you will want to consider.

Size of Your Door

Most doors are 36 inches wide. A wreath 24″-26″ wide is a great size. Personally, I love a wide wreath so I opted for a 30″ wreath on my door. I also like to hang it lower about 16″. I have a permanent hanger attached to my door as well.

Color of Your Door

Before you purchase your fall wreath, consider the color of your door. If you have a lighter door, a neutral wreath won’t stand out. I would consider a bright colored or greenery wreath. If you have a dark color, a neutral or a very orange wreath will stand out great.

Consider Your Cost Combined with Weather Conditions

If you live in an area where weather can wreak havoc on the outdoor elements, you make not want to spend more than $30 on a wreath that you might have to replace the following year. We have a storm door and place our wreath between the two doors. I felt comfortable spending out $50 on my wreath knowing that it will last me a few years.

Tips for Your Fall Wreath

Hanging Your Fall Wreath

My best tip is to permanently install your wreath hook to your door! I hated seeing an over the door hanger and the Command tape hooks would fall off when the warmer temperatures started in the summer. I decided to take a towel hook and drill it into our front door. Our front door is black as is the hook, the wreath disappears int he background. I absolutely love this look.

Customize Your Fall Wreath

You can always add some fun to a wreath that your purchase to make it feel like your own. Some ideas of things you can add our fresh fall foliage like leaves and pine cones. A ribbon can be another great accent to your wreath to add a personalized touch.

Hope you found these suggestions helpful has you plan your fall decor!
